Mozzies Suck
Public health awareness campaign

Mozzies Suck is a bold public health campaign designed to cut through with clarity and urgency. Built around a simple double meaning, the headline delivers immediate impact: mosquitoes suck your blood — and they also suck.

The creative uses strong, unapologetic typography, with shifts in scale and colour to highlight the disproportionate impact of something as small as a single bite. What begins as a blunt statement quickly reveals a more serious message, drawing attention to the rare, serious and sometimes fatal diseases mosquitoes can spread. By confronting audiences with the real consequences behind a familiar annoyance, the campaign reframes a mosquito bite as more than an itch, encouraging greater awareness, prevention and vigilance across the community.
